JIGAWA STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL RESOLUTIONS
Resolution of the Jigawa State Executive Council held on Thursday 30th November, 2023
- The State Executive Council has today Thursday 30th November, 2023 deliberated and approved the employment of One Thousand, One Hundred and Twenty-Four (1,124) Health Workers (J-Health) in permanent and pensionable engagement into the Jigawa State Government in line with His Excellency, Malam Umar Namadi FCA administration’s commitment to improve accessible and affordable health care services across the State.
- Similarly, during the deliberation the Council has approved the sum of Nine Hundred and Fifty-Nine Million Two Hundred and Eighty Thousand Naira (N959,280,000.00) only for the payment salaries and allowances of the 1,124no. of health workers including the 924 J-Health and 200 Medical Personnel (40no. Medical Doctors, 30no. Pharmacist, 20no.BSc Nursing, 20no. BMLS, 15no.Public/Community Health, 10no. Dental Therapist, 10no. Physiotherapist, 5no. Medical Imaging, 40no. certified Nurses/Midwives, 10no. Science Laboratory Technicians and other relevant fields for deployment in the 281 wards level PHCs, 13no. Secondary Health facilities, Colleges of Nursing Sciences, Emergency Operation Centers and JICHIMA across the State. The confirmation of the 924no. of J-Health adhoc staff is subject to examination to be conduct be conducted by the State Ministry of Health.
- The Council has also approved the immediate recruitment of One Thousand (1,000) Jigawa State indigenes that study health related courses at various level under the State initiated J-Health Scheme to replace the 924 beneficiaries of the scheme that gained permanent and pensionable engagement into the Jigawa State Government service.
- The State Executive Council has approved a memo presented by Ministry of Higher Education for the award of contract for the Renovation of 4no. Students Hostels, 2no. Senior Staff Quarters and Library at Science Secondary School Kafin Hausa and procurement of 2no. Solar Submersible Pump (20F.2.5.2) for the Government Day Science Secondary School, Hadejia and Kafin Hausa respectively. The total contract sums of Seventy -Three Million Seven -Two Thousand One Hundred and One Naira Forty-Five Kobo (N73,072.101.45) only. • The State Executive Council has approved another memo presented by Ministry of Higher Education for the payment of Tuition fees, Accommodation, Application Fees and Foreign students support services in respect of 184no. Jigawa State transferred student from Sudan to Near East University, Cyprus at cost of Five Hundred and Thirty-Four Thousand Three Hundred and Seventy-Two US. Dollars ($534, 372.00) only. The Council has also approved the release of sum of Three Hundred and Twelve Million Forty-Eight Thousand Six Hundred and Twenty-Two Naira (N312,048, 622.00) only for the payment of 12 months living allowances, Visa, Air Tickets and other logistics for travel arrangements.
- Similarly, the State Executive Council has approved a memo presented by the Ministry of Basic Education for the SUBEB counter funds amounting to the sum of Six Hundred and Ninety-Seven Million, Eight Hundred and SeventyNine Naira, Fifty-Seven Kobo (N697,892,479.57) only for the construction of 156no. new classrooms, renovation of 207no. classrooms, 39no. blocks of 4no. cubicles toilets, 68no. of handpumps, boreholes and supply 14,016 sets of classrooms furniture and wall fence.
- The Council has deliberated and approved the memo represented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources on a request for fund to guarantee the agricultural inputs for the State indigenes participating in the Wheat Production under the National Agricultural Growth Scheme-AgroPocket (NAGs-Ap). The inputs to be allocated include 1no. Bag of seeds, 7no. Bags of fertilizer (NPK), 3no. Bags of Urea, 1no. organic fertilizer, 4no. rubber of pesticide to a farmer to be paid after harvest at the cost of One Hundred and Thirty-Five Thousand Three Hundred and Seventy-Five Naira (135, 375.00) only for the 40,000Ha to be cultivated in the State. Therefore, the Council has approved the total sum of Five Billion, Four Hundred and Fifteen Million Naira (N5,415,000,000.00) only for the guarantee payment.
